Streetcar services is extended to Brighton-Allston.

The line is an extension of the Beacon Street line and runs along Chestnut Hill Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue to Lake Street. A new segment of the line along Commonwealth Avenue from Brighton Avenue to Chestnut Hill Avenue opens on May 26, 1900 and is extended to Newton in 1909.
